The Journey to Rest and Relaxation: An exploration on rotation and duplication through a Proto- Arch Stereotomic Object
The project focuses on developing architectural design language through the idea of a “Projected Form” from
2D rule based drawings. The stereotomic object taken from the ruled based drawing are used to explore form,
geometry, visual systems, tectonic systems, and grounds. My stereotomic object and expanded ground is designed to be an obstacle adventure course that had recently reopened since the start of the pandemic. The white and gray planes were folded up to create a 3D mass. The gray circles turned into openings into the mass . The green circles became pockets for visitors to rest and sit in. The vertical and horizontal lines became a series of ladders that visitors would use to access the elevated islands and pockets.
